Lots today, the final day.
Set off for… GHIBLI!!!
It was everything we could’ve hoped – quality and attention to detail. Little film about a boy meeting a bunny and racing to decide who gets the stick before a cuppa at the old ladys.
Ridiculously hot day but cool inside. Shop wasn’t cheap and could’ve had more cuddly toys but we still spent plenty.
Walked up the road to find the recommended bakery – lots of delights. Got any bus back but Kieren just said Minoha instead of station so we were dumped at station before [kijigoji?] which continued his four day PMT.
Various trains and we decided to walk around akihabara – electric town, like a super Maplins.
Went to Tokyo Dome instead (baseball stadium) where theme park rides were dotted through the mall.
Had scariest, highest, steepest, faster rollercoaster ride in my life ever, through and round buildings. All of about 30 secs but that was 20 too much! Actually called for our mothers. Epic.
Found MOOMIN CAFE! Had coffee and cake with Papa Moomin. Bought a couple of bits in shop and taxid back to asakusa looking for souvenirs to no avail – me not wanting to shop as K so obviously begrudged it and wanted it to be over.
Went in Don Quixote again. Still tards.
Wen tot little street food place for beer where Bibi the cat was again. Had good gyoza.
Taxied home in tmie for supposed ‘onsen’ at 10pm.
